July 4th and such

Hobbit | 7/13/2006 Thu July 13, 2006 @ 12:10 pm

Ok so I got a little side tracked…. oops….

For the Fourth of July, Lisa and I traveled to Arkansas to help out my brother guard my parent’s houseboat while they were gone on their month long cross country vacation. We had tons of fun swimming, fishing, boating, and watching the fireworks… (well I did, Lisa was long asleep before they started).

Carey came over from Collierville to hang out with us too! It was generally great times!!!

Pictures of the weekend

Hit a milestone

Hobbit | 7/10/2006 Mon July 10, 2006 @ 8:24 am

Lisa hit a milestone this morning! She rolled over from her back to her stomach, and back to her back!!! I am so proud of her… Now it won’t be long and she will be rolling all the time, and then crawling, then walking, then…. oh God they grow up too quickly!!!

Baby food…

Hobbit | 6/28/2006 Wed June 28, 2006 @ 11:36 am

At Lisa’s 4 month well child care check up we got the go ahead to try and start solid foods. So Dan and I went out and got a high chair, and some baby cereal…. This past weekend was our first attempt…

Lisa is very much interested in food, she sits or lays and stares at food when either Dan or I eat, so she is ready for food that way, but as we found out from our attempts at cereal she still has that push things out with the tongue reflex. So she might have gotten one whole spoon full of cereal in the two mornings it was attempted. Oh well, we will try again this coming weekend!

As a side note, Lisa does really good sitting in her high chair, which is good! We got one of those that are like booster seats that strap to a chair you already own, but have a tray for them to eat off of. We figure long term it would be a better investment than an actual highchair.
