Thanksgiving week
Mon November 28, 2005 @ 2:53 pmWow. What a trip! Dan and I drove to TN for the Thanksgiving holiday. Did it in two days each way, its a 10-11 1/2 hour trip, so two days is best. We first stopped in Nashville. On Friday we had lunch with our friend James. That was really cool, and the food was ever so tasty.
Then we drove the rest of the way to Knoxville. Were we went to Thanksgiving dinner at J23, not so tasty food, but good company. Then after that, Carey, Jessica, Eileen, and myself went to Jessica’s house for a girls night in. It was a blast. yummy foods, and we played games. I TOTALLY lost at scrabble, but its all good. Carey and I teamed up when we played Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture addition, and we won! Then we watched some goofy TV on MTV, and finally put in Finding Nemo to go to sleep by. Carey got to feel Lisa kick, she is the first person besides me to do so!
On Saturday, I got up and Carey and I went to the UT/Vandy game. Boy was that a barrel of tears…. But the game was fun to go to, Carey and I had a good ole time at her last home football game! We were going to go watch the monkeys after the game, but Carey remembered at about 4:30 that the Zoo closes at 4:30 on Saturdays, ooops…. We instead went back to her apartment and hung out for a bit, then got some food from Rally’s (There aren’t any in Columbia
) . Then we headed over to Richard’s house for a big ole multi-purposed party. (Baby shower for Dan and I, Long time no see for Jennifer and Jonathan, and Richard’s birthday). That was fun, way into the night…
Sunday, Dan and I got up, and we ate breakfast with Richard, then played Uno, till time to go to church. Which we then did, and had yummy Sunday supper afterwards. Then once the food was eaten, Dan and I drove to Limestone, TN to his mom’s house.
Monday Dan and I went and saw the new Harry Potter movie! It was good!!! (Despite what people say)
Tuesday Dan got his hairs cut, looks good. Then we went to Cracker Barrel with Dan’s mom and some of her fellow teachers. once again, YUMMY food.
Wednesday, Dan, his mom and I went to Bristol Motor Speedways Speedway in Lights. That was totally totally cool and fun. We drove around the parking lot, and drag strip for about an hour looking at all the Christmas light displays. Then we got to drive into and ONTO the speedway! Yeah we drove on the high banks at Bristol, we all thought we were going to fall off! It looks banked on TV but let me tell ya its REALLY REALLY steep. Then Dan’s mom and I got out at the Christmas village that was set up in the infield. We looked around the little booths, bought some Lavender, and a Christmas present for my dad. Then we left. When we got out, there was a sign saying Interstate 81 was in both directions, you could go left or right. Well Dan figured since we drove so long getting in that the other direction must be shorter. Well it wasn’t we ended up in Virginia. Bristol is a strange town, there is a Bristol, TN and a Bristol, VA, and as you are driving through town, there is the state line sign, its pretty crazy.
Thursday, Yummy Turkey Day, (well Ham day for me). I made a cake Thursday morning, then we headed down to Mamaw and Papaws for food. Ate lots of yummy food, watched Miracle on 34th street, then headed back to Dan’s moms for a good ole nap!
Friday was spent not feeling too well. Got up and took Rowdy (Mamaw and Papaw’s dog (which they say is Dan’s)) to the vet, he had a massive ear infection, turns out he has an ear infection in one ear and a yeast infection in the other, the poor thing. As sick as this dog was you wouldn’t know it, he was calm and friendly. That is until we tried to put medicine in his left ear (the bad one) he didn’t like that too much. But after that, I napped most of the day, since I wasn’t feeling so well.
Saturday, we got up early, and packed the car, then began the long drive back to Missouri. We listened to the UT/Kentucky football game on the radio, and finally I got to hear UT win…. We also played the license plate game, and between Saturday and Sunday’s driving we counted 34 states! We stayed Saturday night in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Sunday, we got up earlish, and headed the rest of the way to Columbia. Got in about 1:30, the doggies and kitty were so happy to see us. We then unpacked the car, then headed to Walmart for some necessities, like milk and such. Also bought a baby crib, and put that together last night, whoa was that fun…. NOT.
All in all it was a great trip, lots of good company and lots of good food!!!

Baby movement
Thu November 24, 2005 @ 11:09 pmI was thinking last night, that Lisa kicks so hard, maybe I can see it from the outside. Well guess what, you can!!! So now I have been spending my spare time, watching my belly do weird movements as she kicks. Its totally cute! Makes me laugh everytime, just like making the cat chase the laser point up the wall.

Baby stuff
Sun November 13, 2005 @ 7:52 pmLisa kicks me quite often now, she has found one spot that she likes to kick over and over and over. It has gotten to the point were it actually hurts now when she hits that spot, because she hits it over and over. Oh well! Its still livable!!!

Doggies are smart
Sun November 13, 2005 @ 7:50 pmI have always known Keegan likes balls, she just loves to play with them. Yesterday I bought her a new set of three tennis balls to play with in the house. I placed the balls in with her other toys. Today when she came in she went straight to her dog toy pile, and grabed the first ball, looked up and wagged her tail like crazy. Then she went and got the second ball and did the same, she carried one of those ball around for about a hour, she was SOOO excited to get a new toy, it was just so cute to see.
